Dubstep VST – Create Professional Quality Tracks
Dubstep production can be a lot of fun, listening to the fruits of your labor after hours working on a track can be as satisfying as getting your favourite toy for Christmas. But for someone that does it for any major length of time can attest to, it can get tiring manually making a wobble and adding effects to make it unique and sounding just the way you want it.
Lately i have been looking into more and more Dubstep VST plugins (or some Dubstep AUs plugins, if a Mac is more your go).
For those that don’t know, a VST or an AU is a plugin that can be used with most music programs (DAWs) which adds functionality.
It’s pretty much the software equivalent to getting a new effects unit or any other piece of hardware for your studio.
The process of finding a great Dubstep VST is not that easy. Despite the rising popularity of Dubstep most plugins that get used to make Dubstep are not specifically made for Dubstep and I would be better off just doing things the way i currently am.
There are a few Dubstep specific ones out there but i found that their value for money just wasn’t there and in some cases, there simply wasn’t enough to them to justify the effort.
In all I would need to bring in three of 4 plugins all that work differently and they still don’t give me everything that i want.

A Dubstep specific effects kit, ADSR rack, LFO, Glide etc thats easy enough to use so that i could even use in other types of music if i chose to bring in elements of Dubstep.
Some professional level Dubstep wobble, Wub Wubs and other popular Dubstep elements
Must have it’s own sampler - good quality sub-bass kit with appropriate effects
At least 8 octave keyboard
Specific Dubstep Drum VST & Dubstep Bass VST
Large, high quality samples kit for variety – custom synth
Must work reliably with a large amount of DAWs (in my case cubase, FL and albeton)
Not overly complicated as i don’t have time to learn yet another interface.
Ideally 32 Channel support
